Note from Pat

March 2001

I want to bring you up to date with what is happening in Colombia. The lunch program for the old people in Puerto Llera has gone well. Thank you so much for your good response. They had just run out of local resources when your help arrived. Those who wish can designate a lunch to be served in their name. Just let us know. It takes about $50.00 to subsidize a meal for 50 people.

These people are also very much in need of clothing. We need clean, wearable cotton clothing in small and medium adult sizes. Remember the weather is very hot. They also need children's clothes for hot weather. These clothes can be any color.

The Christian Kogis that have had to leave their village need white T-shirts that they use for children's clothes. These need to be completely white without writing or pictures.

Anyone who can help with this either of these requests can send the clothing to Chaddy's wife, Yolanda Stendal, 10160 Main Drive, Bonita Springs, FL 34135. She will receive hem and get them ready for me to take to Colombia.

The Kogi New Testament is now in the hands of our son-in-law, Bob Jackson. It is all on disk now, and he is giving it a final check as to spelling, key terms, and punctuation. Graphic designers, who have finished the final details of the Spanish Bible, will now be helping us set up the Kogi New Testament in the same format. NOTE: Electronic equipment has the "habit" of breaking down as soon as we use it for Kogi, so please back us all up in Prayer. The English Bible that Russell is producing in the same manner as the Spanish is also in the works and will be available soon. I can hardly wait.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your financial and prayer support at this difficult and challenging time. We want you to give as the Lord lays it on your hearts. "Not grudgingly, nor of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver."

Yolanda and Chaddy want to give a special thanks to all who have helped them financially. They need and increase in their monthly income in order to keep going. Chaddy returns to Colombia in a few days in spite of recent threats. (It is thought these come from "common criminals" taking advantage of the unrest in the area.)

I am mailing out Russell and Marina's receipts for awhile until the pressure on him slacks off. Yolanda and Gloria with all the grandchildren are willing helpers.

God bless each and every one of you.
We love and appreciate you in the Lord
